The artist, lecturer in the Institute of contemporary art Moscow.
Liliya Lifaniva works in various medias between installation, performance, and cinema. In her art works she researches nomadism, identities, history of labor and traditions, and social memory about political system that is destroying itself from the inside.
Lifanova graduated from the School of Art Institute in Chicago, Brooklyn college and New-York City Univercity. Her artwork were exhibited on national and international art scenes, recently in Gridchinhall and Tretyakov’s gallery (Moscow, Russia), Museum of Contemporary Art (Saint-Louise).
She were at residencies in Spain and Russia. Lifanova has received Fulbright and LIAP scholarship in 2011-2012.
In Vyksa she was giving lectures about different practicies of public art in America, beggining from 1970′s.
